Ethereum has once again delivered a loud success story to the market. This time, it’s about a trader who, in just four months, increased his capital from $125K to almost $30M using an aggressive trading strategy on the Hyperliquid platform.
How he achieved 236x
The trader turned $125K into $29.6M in just 4 months on Hyperliquid, using Ethereum longs and aggressive profit reinvestment.
According to Lookonchain, in April the trader deposited $125K into two accounts when Ethereum was trading below $2K. Instead of taking profits as the price rose, he consistently increased his positions, reinvesting all earnings back into trades.
By August, his portfolio had grown to 66,749 ETH, which at the current rate is valued at $303M. Net profit reached $29.6M. This result was made possible by using leverage and skillful timing — the rise of ETH to $4K provided colossal acceleration of returns.
Contrast with long-term investors
An Ethereum ICO participant invested just $104 in 2014 and after 10 years withdrew 334.7 ETH — now it’s $1.48M and a 14,269x return.
This trader’s story is the opposite of the “hold and wait” strategy. During the same period, Lookonchain noticed movement from an old wallet with ETH untouched for more than ten years. Its owner invested only $104 during the ICO in 2014, and now the sum has grown almost 14,300 times, to $1.5M.
Both cases show different paths to success: rapid growth through risk or long-term waiting with minimal actions.
Ethereum prospects
In August, Ethereum is holding above $4K, remaining in a long-term uptrend zone. Moving averages confirm the bulls’ strength: the 50-day SMA is $3,495, the 200-day is $2,621. The gap between them indicates steady growth. However, the RSI near 67 suggests possible local overheating. In the coming weeks, ETH may enter consolidation.
Nevertheless, strategic forecasts remain optimistic: Standard Chartered expects $7,500 by year-end, and institutions are actively increasing their share in funds — over the past month, total purchases are estimated at $900M.

What’s next?
Ethereum has become an example of an asset where incredible stories of quick profits coexist with stable long-term gains. For the market, such stories serve as a catalyst for interest: traders seek new opportunities, while institutions strengthen positions, expecting a move to $5K and above.
