This month, several projects are entering the market with new features and important announcements. The list includes Lighter, EtherFi, Aerodrome, and Folks Finance. All of them have major events planned that could draw attention to their tokens.
Buyback proposals, new products, and new trading tools are expected. All of this is happening in the first half of November.
Ether.fi concludes $50M buyback vote
Today, November 3, the Ether.fi community concludes an important vote: participants are deciding whether to launch a buyback of ETHFI tokens from the market for up to $50 million.
If the proposal is approved, the EtherFi fund will buy tokens from the open market whenever the price drops below $3. The goal is to support liquidity, stabilize the price, and strengthen the confidence of long-term holders.
The document also states that the buyback volume will increase as the protocol’s revenue grows, especially while the price remains below $3. This will allow excess funds to be used for the benefit of the project: strengthening the market and reducing the number of tokens in circulation.
All token buybacks will be publicly displayed. If approved, the initiative will take effect immediately. This decision is especially important for ETHFI right now — the project is under pressure.
According to CoinMarketCap, the token has dropped more than 46% over the past month. At the time of publication, ETHFI was trading at $0.93 — down 7.29% in the last 24 hours.

If the proposal is approved, the buyback could partially stabilize the price and restore investor confidence amid overall market instability. Otherwise, the token risks continuing to fall under selling pressure.
Folks Finance launches FOLKS token on November 6
The DeFi protocol Folks Finance has announced the launch date of its token, with the event taking place on November 6. At the TGE (Token Generation Event), FOLKS will be issued using the cross-chain standard Wormhole NTT.
FOLKS will become the foundation for protocol governance. Through it, the community will participate in voting and make key decisions. A total of 50 million tokens will be issued.

On the first day, 12.7 million FOLKS will enter circulation — that’s 25.4% of the total supply. These tokens will be allocated for ecosystem development and airdrop to the community.
The team clarifies that at launch, 3.29% of the total supply is allocated for the airdrop. Of this, about 0.67% will be unlocked. This is based on the assumption that 25% of users will choose instant claiming, while 75% will opt for linear withdrawal.
Aerodrome prepares major updates in November
The largest decentralized exchange on the Base network, Aerodrome, is completing the MetaDEX02 stage next week. The team has announced two major updates.
“Next week we are closing MetaDEX02 and launching Slipstream V2, an updated commission-free Autopilot (ALM), as well as a redesigned interface,” said one of the project’s key members, Alexander.
After that, the team will fully switch to MetaDEX03 — a new stage in the platform’s development. According to Alexander, this will be the most advanced operating system version for decentralized exchanges (DEXOS).
He called it a “massive upgrade,” hinting at significant changes compared to the previous version.
For Aerodrome this is an important step: the exchange is among the top four most profitable protocols in DeFi and already surpasses giants like Ethereum and Solana in revenue.
Lighter prepares to launch spot trading
Last on the list is Lighter, a derivatives exchange based on Ethereum Layer-2, known for its commission-free model. The team is now accelerating the release of new products.
In a recent interview, the project’s CEO Vladimir Novakowski shared plans for the near future: spot trading could start as early as the beginning of November. BTC and ETH will be available first, with memecoins added a bit later. The exact date has not yet been announced.

On October 31, Lighter already launched forex perpetual trading, making the platform attractive not only to crypto traders but also to players from the traditional financial sector looking for on-chain tools without intermediaries.
The EtherFi vote, spot launch on Lighter, major Aerodrome upgrades, and the FOLKS token launch — November promises to be eventful. All of this could revitalize the market across several ecosystems.
