TRON DAO participated in ETHConf, which took place in New York from June 8 to 10 with the support of ETHGlobal. After that, the team stayed in the city for the week of ETHGlobal New York 2026 and held a separate event, TRON Academy Happy Hour during the hackathon from June 12–14.
Through TRON Academy, the project works with students and aspiring developers interested in blockchain. The program already includes representatives from major universities, including Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge.
At ETHConf, the TRON DAO team spoke with conference attendees about the direction of dApps, the development of blockchain infrastructure, and where the technology is already finding real-world applications beyond the crypto market.
During ETHGlobal New York, TRON Academy together with the Princeton Blockchain Club hosted a Happy Hour at Anytime Billiards NYC. The event was also joined by members of Blockchain Chicago, Blockchain at Columbia, Blockchain at Emory, Blockchain & Fintech at Fordham, NYU Blockchain Lab, and Penn Blockchain.
The event was attended by more than 70 people. Among them were students, developers, and blockchain community members who came to network, share experiences, and discuss new ideas.
As part of the Happy Hour, there was a panel discussion titled Campus to Mainnet: How Student Builders Will Shape the Future of Blockchain. The discussion was moderated by the TRON DAO team, which is focused on ecosystem development. The conversation included representatives from Blockchain Chicago, Blockchain & Fintech at Fordham, Penn Blockchain, and NYU Blockchain Lab.

About Tron Dao
TRON DAO is an organization whose development is managed by the network participant community. The main focus is on developing blockchain infrastructure and creating tools for decentralized applications.
The history of TRON began in 2017, and the project’s own network was launched in the spring of 2018. Since then, the ecosystem has expanded significantly and become one of the largest in the industry.
For a long time, the network remained the largest platform for USDT circulation. Currently, the volume of this stablecoin in the TRON ecosystem exceeds $89 billion.
According to TRONSCAN statistics, as of June 2026, the number of accounts created on the network exceeded 387 million. In total, users have conducted more than 14 billion transactions, and the amount of funds locked in ecosystem protocols exceeds $25 billion.
Today, the network is actively used for stablecoin transfers and international settlements. Thanks to high user activity, TRON remains one of the busiest blockchain platforms on the market.
