The Monad Foundation has finally revealed the details of the long-awaited MON token airdrop. Users can already check if they are on the list and submit an early claim — participants from the Solana, Ethereum ecosystems and other major DeFi platforms are eligible. The new layer-1 blockchain, created as a competitor to Ethereum and Solana, will open the claim window on October 28. Tokens can be claimed until November 3.
Who Will Receive MON Tokens
In total, Monad will distribute MON tokens among 5,500 active community members and about 225,000 users from the broader crypto ecosystem. The list includes traders with large volumes on decentralized exchanges, long-time NFT collectors, and those who regularly participate in DeFi projects.
Among those eligible are holders of top NFTs on Ethereum, such as CryptoPunks, Azuki, Pudgy Penguins, Moonbirds and Meebits. The selection was based on a snapshot from September 30.
On the Solana side, there are also participants: users of Pump.fun, Virtuals and Hyperliquid, as well as active voters in major DAOs on Ethereum. To prevent manipulation and farming, the Monad team applied anti-bot filters and excluded duplicate accounts with low activity, focusing on genuine crypto enthusiasts.
Focus on Community and Airdrop Details
According to the foundation, the goal of the airdrop is to support true enthusiasts for whom crypto is more than just a hobby, giving them a chance to become early participants in the launch of the Monad mainnet. The platform introduced an “airdrop power level” system, which evaluates users based on on-chain activity and social media influence.
Although the project’s tokenomics have not yet been disclosed, discussions are already in full swing. Some traders believe that the MON price could rise — it all depends on the distribution and the recipient’s level.
Currently, the token is trading on Hyperliquid in pre-market mode at ~$0.08, with daily volume exceeding $7.3 million — this already shows high interest in MON even before the official launch.
New Competitor to Ethereum and Solana
The Monad project launched in 2022, and in 2024 attracted $225 million to develop a high-performance blockchain with EVM support. The goal is to create a network that can handle massive loads without sacrificing speed or security. The testnet is already live, and MON is positioned as the foundation for a new wave of on-chain innovation.

With the claim window approaching, analysts believe that the MON airdrop could become one of the biggest events of 2025 — bringing together Solana’s retail activity, Ethereum’s NFT culture, and DeFi traders’ experience within one ambitious ecosystem.
