BitForex Review — Features, Fees, and Safety Examined: Is It Legit or a Scam?

BitForex is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange that combines spot markets, derivatives products, and auxiliary services such as staking-style programs, an NFT section, and a social trading interface for users engaged in cryptocurrency trading. Because the platform operates in multiple regions and lists a wide range of digital assets, potential traders often examine whether BitForex is reliable, how the maker and taker fee model works, and what types of contract products are available for long-term strategies. Some users also look at the latest BitForex offer and evaluate whether the BitForex exchange offers meaningful value compared to competitors.

This neutral BitForex review summarizes how the platform is structured, what products are provided, and which risks users should acknowledge before committing funds. It also highlights the importance of trust in a market where people might accuse an exchange of being a scam without complete information, making clear why a thoughtful comparison with other platforms is essential before making a decision.

What Is BitForex?

BitForex is a digital asset exchange providing a mixture of spot cryptocurrency markets, leveraged derivatives and additional investment tools within one environment. The platform maintains an internal matching engine that, according to the company, is capable of processing up to 1.6 million orders per second, which is intended to support higher trading volumes and rapid order execution.

BitForex Review

The exchange lists more than 160 cryptocurrencies and over 300 trading pairs, spanning major assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum as well as a variety of alternative coins and tokens. BitForex states that its services are accessible from over 180 countries, although the exact user experience can vary based on local regulations and payment availability.

Leadership information published by the company identifies Jason Luo as CEO. The exchange has also noted previous investment from multiple crypto-focused funds and venture backers in its early-stage growth, with reported funding in the tens of millions of dollars. These details are part of its attempt to present itself as a longer-running actor in the broader exchange landscape.

Account Creation and Sign-Up Flow for New Users and Customers

  1. Visit the official BitForex website and select the “Register” or equivalent option in the header.

  2. Enter an email address and create a password that meets the platform’s complexity requirements.

  3. Confirm acceptance of the terms of service and any risk disclosures presented during registration.

  4. Retrieve the verification code sent to the provided email address and input it into the registration form.

  5. Optionally add an invitation or referral code if one is available and relevant.

After these steps, a basic account is created and can be used to log in, view the interface, and perform certain actions. At this stage, users typically gain access to deposit addresses, spot trading pairs, and some other features that do not require completed identity verification, subject to the platform’s internal limits.

Opening an account on BitForex follows a straightforward onboarding sequence similar to many other centralized exchanges:

When Is KYC Requested and What Countries Are Supported?

  • Daily transaction volumes exceeding a certain threshold (for example, cumulative transfers around or above the equivalent of $10,000).
  • Patterns of behavior that the platform flags as unusual or higher risk under its internal monitoring rules.
  • Attempts to access products, limits or features that are reserved for verified users, such as elevated withdrawal caps.

When KYC is triggered, users may be asked to provide personal information, upload government-issued identification documents, and in some cases submit proof of address. Until this process is completed, withdrawal limits or other restrictions may apply. This arrangement is intended to balance ease of onboarding with regulatory and risk management requirements.

BitForex does not enforce know-your-customer (KYC) procedures on every account from the first moment of registration. Instead, it applies a layered approach in which full identity verification is requested under specific conditions. These can include:

Depositing Cryptocurrency on BitForex and Available Digital Tokens

  1. Navigate to the “Assets,” “Funds,” or similar section from the main navigation bar.

  2. Choose the “Deposit” option from the side menu or dropdown.

  3. Select the desired cryptocurrency from the list of supported assets.

  4. Copy the deposit address (and any additional tag or memo required for networks like XRP or XLM) and paste it into the sending wallet or external exchange form.

  5. Broadcast the transaction and wait for the required blockchain confirmations.

Once the network has produced the necessary number of confirmations, deposited funds are credited to the user’s BitForex wallet balance for that asset. The exact confirmation requirements may differ from coin to coin and can be adjusted if network conditions change.

In addition to direct cryptocurrency deposits, BitForex works with providers such as Simplex and other payment processors to enable purchases of selected assets (for example BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, XLM) using credit or debit cards. After these purchases, the acquired cryptocurrency is credited to the user’s account in much the same way as a standard deposit.

To fund a BitForex account with cryptocurrency, users generally follow a simple procedure within the account dashboard:

Minimum Deposit, Swaps, and Long-Term Investment Stability

For many alternative coins and tokens that are not directly available via card purchases, BitForex offers swap functionality, such as the EazySwap module. This enables users to exchange supported assets for one another on-platform without sending funds back out to a different exchange first, although availability is generally focused on ERC-20 tokens at this time.

BitForex does not publish a universal minimum deposit amount that applies to every cryptocurrency on the platform. However, very small transfers may be impractical due to network fees and minimum trade sizes on specific markets. Traders who intend to place orders shortly after depositing typically check the minimum order quantity for the trading pair they want to use.

How to Trade on BitForex With Volume, Market Demand, and Platform Popularity

  1. Select the market section (Spot or Perpetual) depending on the desired product type.

  2. Pick a trading pair from the list or search by symbol (for example BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, etc.).

  3. Choose the order type, such as limit order, market order or stop order where supported.

  4. Specify the order size, either in base currency units (for example BTC) or quote currency units (for example USDT).

  5. If using margin or derivatives, set leverage and margin mode parameters, subject to allowed limits.

  6. Confirm the order after reviewing all details.

After execution, the trade appears in the “Open Orders,” “Positions,” or “Order History” sections, depending on its type and status. BitForex provides real-time fields such as entry price, current market price, position size, used margin, liquidation price (for leveraged positions), and realized/unrealized P&L, which users can track to manage risk and potential exits.

The platform also includes a function for sharing position details or visual snapshots on social media or within private groups, a feature commonly used by education-focused channels and trading communities.

Once funds are available in the account, trading is performed through BitForex’s exchange interface. A generic process to place a trade is as follows:

Steps for Spot and Perpetual Trading With 100x Leverage Tools

For spot trades, the steps usually are:

  1. Deposit or transfer the asset or stablecoin that will be used as the quote currency (for example USDT).

  2. Open the “Spot” trading tab.

  3. Select the relevant market pair.

  4. Enter the amount and choose a price if using a limit order.

  5. Confirm the order, and once filled, the new asset balance appears in the exchange wallet.

BitForex Review

For perpetual contracts:

  1. Move funds into the derivatives or perpetual account, if the platform uses separate sub-wallets.

  2. Navigate to the “Perpetual” section.

  3. Choose a contract such as BTC/USDT or ETH/USDT perpetual.

  4. Set the margin size and leverage level, being aware of the potential liquidation risks.

  5. Place the order and track the resulting position under the positions panel until it is closed manually or by liquidation.

Order and trade history records can be accessed at any time, allowing users to review previous activity, export data, or analyze performance over specific periods.

Spot Trading vs. Perpetual Contracts and Maker–Taker Fee Comparison

Spot trading and perpetual contracts represent two distinct ways to engage with cryptocurrency price movements on BitForex.

Spot trading involves immediate exchange of one asset for another, with ownership of the underlying cryptocurrency transferring from seller to buyer when an order is filled. This is often used by participants who primarily want to hold, accumulate, or gradually rebalance a portfolio of digital assets.

Perpetual contracts, by contrast, are derivative instruments that track the price of an underlying asset but do not involve direct delivery of that asset. There is no fixed expiration date, and positions can be held as long as margin requirements are met and funding conditions allow. Traders can take both long and short positions and can employ leverage to increase their notional exposure. This approach is typically used by those who want to hedge, speculate on short-term moves, or implement more complex trading strategies.

Because perpetual contracts introduce leverage and funding mechanics, they tend to carry higher risk and require a more detailed understanding of derivatives than standard spot trading.

Example Use Case for Perpetual Contracts and Contract Safety for Crypto Traders

If the price moves in the expected direction, the leveraged position amplifies gains compared to a simple spot purchase of the same size. If the market moves against the position, however, unrealized losses accumulate more quickly and may eventually trigger liquidation if the margin is insufficient. Similarly, a trader expecting a decline could open a short position to benefit from downward price moves.

These mechanics illustrate why perpetual contracts can be useful for hedging or short-term speculation but also underscore the importance of risk management when using leverage.

Consider a trader who believes the price of BTC/USDT will increase over the coming days. Rather than purchasing Bitcoin on the spot market in full, they may choose to open a long perpetual position using, for example, 10× or 20× leverage. This allows the trader to control a larger exposure with a smaller up-front capital allocation.

Fee Structure

Deposit Fees

For incoming cryptocurrency transfers, BitForex does not typically charge a platform-level deposit fee. Users still pay blockchain network fees when sending assets from an external wallet or another exchange, but these costs are determined by network conditions and the sending platform, not by BitForex itself.

Withdrawal Fees

Withdrawal fees are set individually for each digital asset and are generally denominated in the currency being withdrawn. For example, a BTC withdrawal has been specified at a fee around 0.0005 BTC. Fees for other cryptocurrencies follow similar fixed-amount models, adjusted based on factors such as network congestion, operating costs and typical industry ranges.

Because network conditions change, these values are subject to update, and users are encouraged to check the current fee table before initiating larger withdrawals, especially when moving funds frequently.

Spot Trading Fees

Spot trading on BitForex uses a flat fee structure of 0.10% for both maker and taker orders. This means that, for each completed trade, 0.10% of the trade’s value is charged as a fee, regardless of whether the user is adding liquidity (maker) or removing it (taker). This approach is relatively simple for users to understand and calculate.

In many comparisons, a 0.10% fee is lower than the approximate 0.20–0.25% range that some other exchanges apply as a standard baseline, which can be relevant for frequent traders who execute a higher number of transactions.

Perpetual Trading Fees

Perpetual contracts on BitForex levy maker and taker fees based on the underlying asset type:

For BTC and ETH perpetual contracts:

  • Maker fee: 0.04%
  • Taker fee: 0.06%

For many other coin-margined or USDT-margined perpetual contracts:

  • Maker fee: 0.06%
  • Taker fee: 0.06%

These fees are charged when positions are opened and closed. In addition, perpetual positions may accrue funding payments—regular transfers between long and short holders based on the difference between the contract price and spot price—which are separate from trading fees and can be either positive or negative for a given user.

MT5 Trading Fees

For the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) environment, which offers CFDs on cryptocurrencies, indices, commodities and foreign exchange, BitForex applies additional commission structures. Examples include:

  • Fixed dollar commissions for each trade in certain asset classes such as Forex, commodities, metals or indices.
  • Percentage-based commissions for cryptocurrency CFD trades, applied as a proportion of notional trade size.

The detailed MT5 fee schedule is distinct from spot and perpetual fees and is relevant to users specifically interested in CFD-style exposure through the MT5 platform.

Fee levels and structures are an important part of evaluating any exchange, since they directly affect net outcomes over time. BitForex applies different fee policies at several levels of user activity.

Withdrawal Limits and Authentication

BitForex enforces withdrawal limits and security checks designed to reduce the likelihood of unauthorized fund movements. Key elements include:

  • Daily withdrawal limits that can vary by asset and by user verification level.
  • Thresholds above which two-factor authentication (2FA) must be completed before withdrawals are processed.
  • Cooling-off periods after critical account changes such as password resets, during which withdrawals may be temporarily restricted.

For example, altering security settings or login credentials may trigger a waiting period before funds can be withdrawn, which is intended to deter attackers who gain temporary access from immediately emptying an account. Users are encouraged to enable 2FA and maintain up-to-date security details to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

Mobile Application

Within the app, users can:

  • View real-time price charts and order books
  • Place and manage spot and derivatives orders
  • Check balances, open positions and past transactions
  • Initiate deposits or withdrawals subject to security checks
  • Adjust certain account settings and security options

The mobile interface is oriented toward streamlined interaction, enabling quick responses to market moves while retaining core monitoring capabilities present on the web platform.

BitForex offers a mobile application on both iOS and Android, designed to provide access to core features for users who trade or monitor positions away from a desktop.

BitForex Exchange Features

Trading Interface Layout

The layout of the BitForex trading interface is structured in a way that will be familiar to users of other centralized exchanges:

  • An order book panel showing current bids and asks.
  • A central charting window displaying price data and technical overlays.
  • An order entry section where users specify type, size and price.
  • Panels below or alongside where open orders, open positions and recent trades are shown.

This standardized arrangement is intended to reduce the learning curve for traders who move between platforms and to centralize key information that is frequently referenced when making trading decisions.

Trading Chart and Tools

BitForex integrates TradingView technology for charting, allowing access to a wide range of analytical tools. Within the chart interface, traders can:

  • Switch between multiple timeframes (from intraday to multi-day or longer).
  • Draw trend lines, channels and custom shapes to mark support and resistance areas.
  • Add commonly used indicators such as RSI, moving averages, Bollinger Bands, ATR, Ichimoku clouds and more.

By combining these tools with the exchange’s order types, users can align entries and exits with technical conditions, though any such methods remain subject to market risk.

Trading Pairs

The spot market on BitForex lists more than 160 cryptocurrencies across several hundred trading pairs. These include:

  • Major pairs such as BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT and BCH/USDT.
  • Additional assets like LTC, XRP, EOS, BEAM and others in combinations against stablecoins or fiat-pegged instruments.
  • Various altcoin-to-USDT and altcoin-to-BTC pairs, depending on listing policies and liquidity conditions.

In the derivatives section, perpetual contracts are offered on a narrower subset of assets, with leverage caps tailored to the volatility and liquidity profiles of each market.

Leverage on BitForex

Perpetual Contracts

Leverage on BitForex is available primarily through perpetual contracts and, in certain cases, through MT5 CFDs. For perpetuals, maximum leverage levels include:

  • Bitcoin: up to 100×
  • Ethereum: up to 100×
  • Bitcoin Cash: up to 100×
  • Litecoin: up to 100×
  • Binance Coin: up to 100×

Other assets typically have lower caps to reflect differing levels of volatility and depth:

  • EOS: up to 50×
  • XRP: up to 25×
  • BEAM and GRIN: up to 10× on some contracts

The actual leverage a trader chooses can be lower than the maximum allowed, and users often adjust leverage according to their individual risk tolerance.

How Leverage Works

When trading with leverage, a user commits a margin amount—say, 1% or 5% of the overall position size—while the platform effectively provides the remaining notional exposure. For example, with 10× leverage, a $1,000 margin could control a $10,000 notional position. Gains and losses are calculated based on the full position size, not only the margin, which is why leveraged trading can both amplify profit potential and accelerate losses.

If market movements erode the margin to a point where maintenance requirements are not met, a margin call or automatic liquidation process may close the position to prevent the account balance from going significantly negative.

Exchange Products and Additional Services

BitForex MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

BitForex’s MT5 integration offers access to CFD products across several asset classes:

  • Cryptocurrencies
  • Forex pairs
  • Commodities
  • Stock indices

MT5 supports a suite of advanced charting tools, multiple order types, and extensive historical data, which some traders prefer for more detailed technical analysis and algorithmic strategies. According to BitForex, users can trade over 300 pairs and utilize leverage levels that can reach up to 200× on selected instruments, subject to risk policies and margin rules.

Funds for MT5 trading are typically transferred from the main BitForex wallet to the MT5 sub-account, and any profits or losses realized on MT5 impact that sub-account’s balance.

Social Trading Platform

BitForex operates a social trading section where:

  • Strategy providers can share their trading approaches and performance statistics.
  • Followers can subscribe to or copy selected traders, with trades being mirrored proportionally in the follower’s account.

This setup is intended to make it easier for less experienced traders to observe and potentially mirror the activity of more active participants. However, copying another trader’s strategy does not remove risk, and performance can vary significantly over time. Users retain responsibility for monitoring copied positions and deciding whether to continue, adjust or stop copying.

BitForex Turbo

BitForex Turbo functions as a launchpad-style module for token offerings. Within this section, the platform lists:

  • Upcoming token sales with details such as allocation, timetable and eligibility rules.
  • Completed offerings with historical data, initial pricing, and listing information.

Users interested in speculative new-token exposure can monitor Turbo listings and, if eligible, participate under the specific conditions set for each project. As with any token sale, there are risks related to project execution, market reception and liquidity that participants must consider.

BitForex Capp

Capp (Crypto Application) is presented as a hub for accessing external crypto-related services and applications. It includes links or shortcuts to:

  • dApp ecosystems
  • Third-party brokerage or trading tools
  • Financial service providers such as lending platforms
  • Information and analytics sites

Projects can apply to have their services included, and users can explore these options without leaving the broader BitForex environment, though most applications are operated independently.

BF Token and Ecosystem

BF is the native utility token associated with BitForex. Within the platform’s ecosystem, holding or using BF can unlock benefits such as:

  • Participation in certain promotions, such as trading-related campaigns.
  • Preferential terms in some token sale or listing events.
  • Discounted rates or bonus allocations in specific products, depending on current campaigns.

Like many exchange tokens, BF’s usage and market value are tied to platform activity and the ongoing design of its internal incentive programs.

Easy Swap (EazySwap)

EazySwap is an internal swap facility focused on ERC-20 tokens, described as utilizing a hybrid CeDeFi (centralized–decentralized) approach. It uses liquidity pools rather than a traditional order book to match trades, with the aim of:

  • Reducing slippage on token-to-token swaps
  • Eliminating separate gas payments for users, as fees are embedded in the platform’s structure
  • Providing a transparent view of pool data and volumes

Liquidity providers can earn a share of the swap fees generated in the pools they contribute to. At present, the product’s focus is primarily on Ethereum-based tokens, with the possibility of expansion depending on future development.

Ethereum 2.0 Staking

BitForex offers an Ethereum 2.0 pooling product that allows users to stake smaller amounts of ETH than would be required to operate a standalone validator node. Key features include:

  • A lower minimum stake threshold (for example 0.1 ETH) compared to the traditional 32 ETH requirement.
  • Periodic distribution of staking rewards in proportion to the amount each user has contributed.

Because staking is performed via a centralized intermediary, users delegate operational responsibilities to the exchange and accept the associated custodial and counterparty risks.

Deposit Methods

BitForex supports several deposit channels designed to make on-ramping accessible to users from different jurisdictions:

  • Cryptocurrency transfers from personal wallets or other exchanges.
  • Bank transfers and wire transfers where supported by local banking systems and payment partners.
  • Credit and debit card purchases via integrated processors, subject to their own limits and compliance checks.
  • Additional regional methods in certain markets, depending on commercial arrangements.

Supported fiat options commonly include USD and EUR, with other currencies sometimes accessible through intermediary conversions. Availability can change as payment partners and regulatory environments evolve.

Security Measures

The security model at BitForex includes several layers intended to protect user assets and account integrity:

  • A division of funds between cold wallets (offline, multi-signature storage) and hot wallets (online wallets used for day-to-day operations). The majority of user funds are reported to be held in cold storage, limiting exposure to online threats.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) using authenticator apps or SMS codes to add an additional step for logins and sensitive actions.
  • Captcha, IP monitoring, and alerts for new device logins or unusual activity.
  • Infrastructure protections such as DDoS mitigation and regular monitoring for suspicious patterns.

As with any centralized exchange, users do not control the private keys to the wallets used on the platform. Standard risk management practice suggests treating exchanges primarily as trading venues and not as long-term storage locations for large balances whenever self-custody alternatives are available and manageable.

Referral Program

BitForex operates a referral system that allocates a percentage of trading fees paid by invited users back to the referring account. According to the platform, this rate can reach up to around 30% of the fees generated by referred traders, with rewards typically calculated in real time or settled daily.

The actual amount a referrer receives depends on the trading activity, fee structure and trading volumes of the users they have invited. Referral programs are often used by exchanges to expand their user base through community and affiliate networks.

Supported Countries and Coins

On the asset side, the exchange lists:

  • Major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP).
  • A wide selection of altcoins across various sectors, including DeFi tokens, utility tokens and other project-based assets.
  • Stablecoins and fiat-related pairs where regulations and payment partners permit.

The exact set of listed coins and pairs can change over time as new assets are added or removed based on demand, compliance considerations and liquidity.

BitForex publicly emphasizes a “no geographic restrictions” approach in marketing language, but like all exchanges, it must adjust accessibility according to local regulations, sanctions lists and internal risk assessments. Its own materials indicate support for users in more than 160 countries, though some specific regions may face limitations or additional checks.

Customer Support

  • A ticket-based support system accessible from within the user dashboard, allowing for detailed descriptions and attachments.
  • A help center or FAQ library with articles on account setup, deposits, withdrawals, trading, security and product usage.
  • Live chat functionality during specified hours, providing real-time interaction for common inquiries.
  • Telegram groups and other social media communities where moderators and experienced users may help answer general questions in several languages.

Response times vary depending on overall demand and issue complexity. For account-specific or security-related matters, users are usually directed toward the official ticket system rather than public channels.

Customer support at BitForex is provided through multiple channels designed to address a range of user issues:

Conclusion

BitForex is a multi-product centralized cryptocurrency exchange that combines spot markets, leveraged derivatives, CFD trading through MT5, investment-style offerings, social trading features and token launch mechanisms in one ecosystem. Its fee structure on spot and derivatives trading falls within or below many commonly referenced industry averages, and its broad asset coverage and high leverage options make it a candidate for users who seek a wide range of trading tools.

At the same time, the platform shares the inherent characteristics of other centralized exchanges: users must trust a third party with custody of assets held on the platform, leverage introduces additional financial risk, and the regulatory environment can impact accessibility in particular regions. Anyone considering BitForex can benefit from comparing it with other exchanges on criteria such as transparency of operations, security disclosures, user protections, and independent feedback, and from aligning their choice of platform with their own risk tolerance and trading objectives.

FAQ

For smaller volumes and basic trading activity, BitForex does not always require immediate KYC verification. However, higher transaction volumes, elevated withdrawal amounts, or flagged account behavior can trigger a request for full identity verification. Users who plan to trade or withdraw larger sums should be prepared to complete the verification process when prompted.

BitForex promotes a broad geographic reach, but the regulatory environment in the United States is more restrictive than in many other regions. Some users report being able to register and interact with the platform from the U.S., while others point to uncertainties regarding long-term access. It is important for potential users to review the current terms of service and consider local laws before attempting to trade from a jurisdiction with stricter rules.

The basic registration process can generally be completed in under a minute. When KYC is required, the time to review documents and approve accounts can vary from case to case. In straightforward scenarios, verification may be completed within a few business days, though processing times can lengthen during periods of higher application volume.

BitForex indicates that it is registered in Seychelles and conducts business operations from multiple locations, including Hong Kong and other regions in Asia. The exact legal entities and corporate structure can differ by jurisdiction, and users who require formal documentation for compliance purposes may refer to the official site or company filings for detailed information.

BF is the exchange’s native token, used within the BitForex ecosystem for utility functions such as campaign participation, promotional benefits, and preferential terms in selected features. Like other exchange tokens, BF’s relevance is linked to the ongoing use of the platform and to how BitForex chooses to integrate it into future products and incentives.

In crypto, I think reputation matters more than people admit. A project can have great marketing, but keeping users interested for years is another story.

True. https://coinspot.io/en/best-crypto-trading-telegram/elixir/ is one of the examples that gets mentioned when people discuss older Telegram trading communities. I think having a track record at least gives people something to analyze.

BitForex’s 0.10% spot trading fees seemed low, but hidden charges drained my profits. Their ‘staking’ programs promised returns, but I ended up losing money.

BitForex’s extensive range of over 300 trading pairs and 160 cryptocurrencies might seem appealing, but the platform’s opaque fee structure and lack of regulatory oversight raise significant red flags. The so-called “BitForex Earn” programs, resembling staking or savings schemes, offer returns that appear unsustainable and could be a facade for high-risk investments. Additionally, the NFT marketplace and crypto loan services are poorly integrated, suggesting a lack of focus and reliability. The referral program, which incentivizes user recruitment, bears an unsettling resemblance to pyramid schemes. Overall, BitForex’s offerings are riddled with potential pitfalls that prudent investors should avoid.

BitForex is a complete disaster! They lure you in with promises of diverse trading options and low fees, but it’s all a facade. Their so-called “investment and yield products” are just a trap to lock up your funds, and the NFT marketplace is a joke. I lost a fortune trusting this platform, and their customer service is nonexistent. Stay away unless you want to be scammed!
