Cryptocurrency on the Morning of June 24: What Is Happening With Market Leaders

Bitcoin started the day without a clear direction. According to TradingView, as of 07:49 MSK, the first cryptocurrency was trading around $62,688, equivalent to ₽4,669,433 per token. Over the past 24 hours, BTC’s low dropped to $61,893, while the high reached $63,652. For a market where liquidity often changes quickly, this dynamic looks like a pause after previous moves.

Ethereum, the second-largest asset by market cap, also moved in a sideways range. At the time of this overview, the coin was priced at $1,667, or about ₽124,169 per token. US dollar quotes remain the main benchmark for most market participants, although Russian investors often recalculate positions in rubles in parallel.

Among the top 10 largest coins, almost all assets declined both daily and weekly. The exceptions were Tron and the stablecoin USDC, while Hyperliquid saw the steepest drop.

  • Tron — for the week: +3.75%.
  • USDC — an exception among the top 10 due to its stable peg.
  • Hyperliquid — daily: -7.87%; weekly: -18.04%.

In the top 100 by market cap, Audiera, DeXe, and Worldcoin stood out the most.

  • Audiera — daily: +33.81%.
  • DeXe — weekly: +28.02%.
  • Worldcoin — daily: -14.41%; weekly: -24.28%.

Market capitalization, order book depth, and available liquidity remain key parameters for evaluating large coins. Investors monitor not only Bitcoin and Ethereum but also compare other assets with the overall market sentiment and data from major platforms, including Coinbase.

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Litecoin
  • Dogecoin
  • Ripple

For long-term participants, price is not the only important factor. Blockchain, cryptography, and double-spending protection form the foundation of trust in digital assets, and mining remains one of the topics considered when assessing Bitcoin’s economy. At the same time, any digital asset in a company’s accounting may be reflected differently than a speculative position of a private trader.

What You Need to Know About Cryptocurrency Before Buying

Cryptocurrency is a digital asset that operates on blockchain technology and is secured by cryptography. In such a system, records of transfers are stored in a distributed network rather than a single center, so decentralization, transaction verification, and double-spending protection play a crucial role.

The main types of cryptocurrencies are conveniently divided into several groups.

  • Bitcoin — the first and largest cryptocurrency, often seen as the market’s main benchmark.
  • Altcoins — all cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin, including Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other projects.
  • Stablecoins — tokens pegged to a base asset, such as USDC.
  • Tokens — digital assets issued within blockchain ecosystems and individual projects.

The price of cryptocurrency is influenced by supply and demand, news, liquidity, regulation, and overall investor sentiment. You can check quotes on exchanges and data aggregators, including CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, TradingView, and Coinbase.

Market capitalization shows how much the market values a cryptocurrency: it is usually calculated as the coin’s price multiplied by the number of coins in circulation. This indicator helps quickly understand a project’s scale, but by itself does not replace the assessment of liquidity, volatility, and risks.

Should You Invest and Can You Make Money on Cryptocurrency

Buying cryptocurrency can generate income if the market grows, the project gains users, or the investor chooses the right entry point. But the current picture is a reminder of the risks: Bitcoin and Ethereum moved without clear direction, and some large coins declined both daily and weekly.

Several factors usually influence investment decisions.

  • Volatility: the price can change sharply in a short time.
  • Market trend: sideways movement, growth, or decline affect strategy differently.
  • Regulation: news from authorities and investigations can increase pressure on the market.
  • Liquidity: the lower it is, the harder it is to quickly buy or sell an asset at the expected price.
  • Company and project news: corporate conflicts, deals, and new product launches can change investor sentiment.

It is possible to make money on cryptocurrency, but there are no guarantees of income. The main ways are trading, long-term holding, mining, and staking. Examples from June 24 show both sides of the market: Audiera rose 33.81% in a day, DeXe gained 28.02% in a week, while Worldcoin lost 24.28% over the same weekly period.

The prospects for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin will depend on technology, regulation, mass adoption, interest from large companies, and the state of global markets. One scenario suggests further industry expansion, another — tighter control and high volatility.

How to Safely Buy, Store, and Mine Cryptocurrency

The basic buying process usually looks like this: choose a platform, complete account verification, fund your balance, buy the desired asset, and decide where to store it. After purchase, you should enable two-factor authentication, save backup access copies, and avoid keeping large amounts where they can be easily accessed by attackers.

Several types of crypto wallets are used for storage.

  • Hardware wallets — best for long-term storage because the keys remain offline; downside — you need to buy and store them carefully.
  • Software wallets — convenient for regular transactions, but more dependent on device security.
  • Mobile wallets — suitable for quick transfers, but require careful phone and backup phrase protection.

Mining 1 Bitcoin depends on equipment power, network difficulty, electricity costs, and participation in a mining pool. A single miner with low power may wait a very long time, so participants often join pools and receive a share of the reward proportional to their contribution. Costs include equipment, electricity, maintenance, and pool fees.

CEA Industries and YZi Labs End Corporate Conflict

CEA Industries, which holds a crypto reserve in BNB, reached a cooperation agreement with its largest shareholder, YZi Labs. This effectively ends a corporate dispute that lasted several months.

Under the agreement, YZi Labs head Ella Zhang, investment partner Alex Odagu, and Bloq co-founder Matthew Roszak will join the CEA board of directors. Alex Odagu will also temporarily serve as company president while CEA searches for a new CEO. In return, YZi Labs will stop fighting for control of the board.

The conflict began at the end of 2025. At that time, YZi Labs strongly opposed CEA’s current management and attempted to gain control of the board. CEA responded with a lawsuit against 10X Capital, which managed its crypto assets. On news of the agreement, CEA shares rose 8.35%, but since the beginning of the year are still down almost 65%.

Meta Prepares Arena App and Wants to Compete With Kalshi and Polymarket

The CEO of Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia, Mark Zuckerberg, instructed employees to create a prediction market app called Arena. The project could become a direct competitor to Kalshi and Polymarket, but with an important difference: users will bet not with money, but with points.

According to the New York Times, Arena is to operate separately from Facebook and Instagram, which are blocked in Russia. Inside the company, the project is considered experimental but a priority. Its potential scale is significant: Meta’s apps have a daily audience of 3.56 billion users.

For Meta, this is not just new software, but an attempt to enter a segment where predictions become a separate user scenario. If Arena gains a wide audience, competition in the prediction market could intensify significantly.

Senators Call for Investigation of World Liberty Financial Deal With UAE Investors

A group of Democratic senators has called on the Republican Senate leadership to hold hearings on a $500 million deal between World Liberty Financial, a crypto project of Donald Trump’s family, and an investment company from Abu Dhabi.

According to the WSJ, a structure linked to the UAE’s national security adviser bought 49% of World Liberty Financial in January 2025. A few months later, Donald Trump’s administration concluded a major deal with the UAE for arms and AI chips, despite concerns that China could gain access to these technologies.

Democrats want administration officials to testify under oath and explain whether the investment could have influenced the president’s decisions. In the political context, such a deal is seen not as a routine bank transaction, but as a potential conflict of interest. Donald Trump stated he was unaware of the deal.

Amid these events, the crypto market remains sensitive to corporate conflicts, political investigations, and decisions by major tech companies. For investors, this is another reminder: digital assets have long moved beyond a narrow industry and increasingly intersect with politics, technology, and global investment.
