Cryptocurrencies to watch in the second week of July 2026 — DeXe (DEXE), Lighter (LIT), and Cardano (ADA): these assets were among the most notable growth leaders among the top 100 coins and attracted traders’ attention with strong technical signals.
- DEXE — key growth factor: weekly “Cup with Handle” pattern; current status: the coin has approached the area of historical highs.
- LIT — key growth factor: update of Lighter tokenomics; current status: demand has increased and the sharp growth continues.
- ADA — key growth factor: influx of new users into the Cardano network; current status: the coin is recovering after a prolonged decline.
According to CoinGecko, MemeCore (M) showed even stronger weekly dynamics, but a sharp drop of nearly 20% in a day knocked the asset out of the list of main candidates. Three coins remain in focus: two are showing confident bullish breakouts, and the third is trying to form a local bottom after prolonged selling pressure.
Against the backdrop of a market where Bitcoin and Ethereum usually set the overall tone, the movement of individual altcoins from the top 100 by market capitalization is especially noticeable. Now, traders’ attention is divided among several directions:
- Major networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
- Projects with strong technical signals.
- Projects with updated token economics.
- Projects with growing on-chain activity.
- Short-term market opportunities that arise even amid interest in topics like artificial intelligence.
DEXE: Breakout After the “Cup with Handle” Pattern
On the weekly chart, DEXE completed a classic technical “Cup with Handle” pattern. The breakout of this structure occurred in May 2026, after which the price returned to the 0.618 Fibonacci level around $15.62, tested it, and resumed growth.
This zone was the starting point for a three-week rally. DEXE is now trading around $28.39, up about 30% for the week. The coin confidently broke resistance at $24.20 and set a new yearly high.
The first target for the current pattern is at $30.31. This area coincides with the external Fibonacci level of 1.272. The next target is higher — around $38.09, at the 1.618 extension. To reach this zone, DEXE will have to rise above the historical high of 2021, which is at $32.38.
At the same time, the movement does not yet look overheated: volumes are decreasing, and the market does not show signs of panic euphoria. However, a second bearish divergence may form on the weekly relative strength index. If the price continues to rise confidently, this signal will lose significance, and the bullish structure will remain intact.
LIT: Tokenomics Became the Fuel for the Rally
On the daily chart of Lighter, it is clear that LIT has risen to highs not seen since January. Over the past seven days, the token has grown by almost 48% and is holding around $2.54.
The rally has already reached the first calculated target at $2.42. This level corresponds to the external Fibonacci extension of 1.272. The next target is around $2.87, where the 1.618 extension lies.
The growth is supported by an upward trendline. An additional support for buyers was a strong demand zone near the January high at $2.00. The recent revision of tokenomics also played an important role: the project introduced a permanent token burn mechanism and an updated staking model.
The daily relative strength index is around 77. This is a high zone, but there are no clear reversal signals yet, and trading volumes remain significant. At the same time, such values are often accompanied by short pullbacks. Even a drop to $2.00 will not necessarily break the upward structure if buyers hold this area.
Cardano: Recovery After a Sharp Decline
Last week, Cardano was one of the strongest major tokens: ADA rose 26% in seven days. The rise began from a multi-year low of $0.1382 and brought the price to $0.20. Then there was a pullback to $0.1818.
The local high almost coincided with the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level at $0.2052. Usually, such a zone acts as a technical rebound area within a downtrend, rather than as a guaranteed signal of a full reversal.
In early June, ADA broke down from a descending parallel channel and reached a target near support at $0.15. If the recovery continues, the price may return to the lower boundary of this channel. The next significant resistance is at the 0.5 Fibonacci level — around $0.2259.
Volumes for ADA remain high. The daily relative strength index first rose to nearly 65 and then dropped to 56. On-chain data gives bulls more arguments: after the June drop, nearly 15,000 new wallets appeared on the network, supporting the idea of renewed interest in Cardano.
Key Levels of the Week
- DEXE — key risk: confirmed bearish divergence of the relative strength index along with further decline in trading activity. Such a scenario may weaken momentum and increase the likelihood of a pullback.
- LIT — key level: $2.00. Closing below this zone will call the breakout structure into question and show that buyers are losing control of the movement.
- ADA — key level: $0.2259. A daily candle close above this mark will help distinguish a regular corrective rebound from a more serious attempt to change the trend.
The sharp reversal of MemeCore reminded how quickly vertical rallies can end. Therefore, this week, not only growth targets are important, but also the levels at which a bullish scenario stops working if broken.
What to Consider When Evaluating Cryptocurrencies
Before buying or watching a coin, it is useful to look not only at weekly growth. The project’s technology, team, liquidity, market capitalization, trading volume, news, partnerships, and on-chain activity are all important.
Market capitalization is the value of all coins in circulation. This indicator helps quickly understand the scale of a project and compare it to other cryptocurrencies.
Several approaches are usually used for analysis: technical chart analysis, fundamental project evaluation, and on-chain network activity analysis. Prices and portfolios are conveniently tracked through CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Blockfolio, and Delta.
You can earn cryptocurrency in various ways: through mining, staking, trading, or airdrop. For investing, more well-known assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major altcoins are often considered, but the final choice depends on risk, time horizon, and liquidity.
Anonymous Coins and Transaction Tracking
Most blockchains are open: transactions can be viewed and linked using blockchain analytics tools. Therefore, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many altcoins are easier to analyze than coins focused on privacy.
Anonymous cryptocurrencies usually include Monero and Zcash. They are harder to track because such projects use mechanisms that hide some data about transfers and transaction participants.
Law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, can analyze public blockchains, match addresses, and look for links between transfers. But privacy coins make this work much more difficult than regular transparent networks.
Popular Cryptocurrencies to Watch
Bitcoin is most often seen as the largest cryptocurrency and a benchmark for the entire market. Ethereum stands out for its smart contracts and application ecosystem. Altcoins, including Cardano, DEXE, and LIT, can grow faster but usually carry higher risk.
Public statements by Elon Musk are most often associated with Dogecoin and Bitcoin. Among popular cryptocurrencies to watch, Ethereum, Cardano, Monero, and Zcash also stand out, and among short-term ideas this week, DEXE, LIT, and ADA remain in focus.
